Adittionally, this applies to the OK symbol, in which the negative connotation also arose from 4chan, though the original was completely innocent or otherwise not political.

Apu is more of a contrarian to the oddities of pop culture. Apu sees the emotionally driven reactions of the masses and the subsequent illogical ideas they come to, and he wonders why people won’t let him have a mind of his own.

I’d venture to guess many of us would be classified as independents/no party preference types who might lean more toward traditional values. I don’t think you’d find too many Warhawk neocon/neolibs here.

To my understanding, it’s a group of self proclaimed elites of Reddit. They monitor subs like T_D and any others that may be known for hate and biased toward the alt right.
