Yeah I make a hell of a good burger and steak but I've never been able to make a brisket that didn't taste like old shoe. I can slow cook a chuck roast but somehow brisket always remains that beef i can't get right.
it's pretty much smoker or nothing unless you wanna corn it, and boil it, or god forbid attempt a pastrami which is...difficult. or just boil it as Pot au Feu, brisket just takes a lot of time
No fren. acrimonious split and we still help each other sometimes but I don't want to get caught up in that shit show again. banging is almost never worth the head ache that comes after it.

last time I did slow cooker for 8 hours in home made beef broth. just horrible. I guess I need to get a smoker.
