Pen pals are underrated. Sure messaging online is easy and instant but so is oven pizza but it just doesn't have that same authentic flavor. A hand written letter is finite, every word counts and the ink can seem to tell a richer story than pixels ever could.
Pen pals are always more fun from abroad. I used to have a French pen pal fren.
