boomer sooners are no longer undefeated and have been passed for the #1 seed in the Big Twelve by Texas Longhorns after losing 48-45 on a last second fieldgoal by Texas’ kicker (last name of Dicker, can’t make this up) in the Red River Rivalry game in Dallas (also known as the Red River Showdown, which I kinda like better).
So maybe he is lamenting not only the sooners losing but also being usurped for 1st place.
